Cotui
So many have started seeing pics from our Dominican Missions trip and know we worked with Endeavor, El Circulo, & ICC. Our first project was working with our friends from El Circulo at a Church/School they support in the Mountains on the Dominican Republic located in the city of Cotui. One way to Cotui was 2 hours, so needless to say we pulled some very long days. But as a result had some spectacular views in the heart of the DR.
So our main job over the 4 days was to strip down and repaint the entire church/school for the upcoming school year. And what I learned from this is I SO CAN’T PAINT! Haha…But in all seriousness it was awesome to work hand in hand with our El Circulo brothers and sisters. God is good!
The two things that struck me the most over the 4 days was the pure happiness of the kids from just playing with us & how my view of poverty is WAY skewed. Living in the US and realizing truly how many #FirstWorldProbz I had (not even trying) was definitely an eye opener.
And…yes I so got to bust out my beach volleyball the last day. And even though this is a baseball country…there are some serious athletes down there. So much fun…
Lastly…I purposely left out Nicole and Sandia from this post since I want to make individual posts on both of them.
Gotta luv all the blog options….
So another Blog site with a photo emphasis…that I must say I heart…is Exposure! Here is my post off of that site recently…

Neuro- ophthalmologist visit #2
I visited the office a week ago, which was a month after I received my prism glasses. I have been wearing them practically all the time. I even have a gnarly tan to prove it. The tint on them really helps me with the fluorescent lights in my classes. My tracking or eye-skipping has occurred less…
Hahaha….I know way to many coaches like this and this SO CRACKS ME UP
When I coach the 12 year olds

PCS Symptoms
A lot of people don’t know a lot about concussions. They think, “Oh you’ll be fine in about a week” I mean maybe you will be but probably not. Concussions aren’t fun and post-concussive syndrome or post-concussion syndrome (PCS) definitely isn’t either. Not everyone who gets a concussion…
Here are a couple of symptoms I’d like to clarify on this:
- Moving headache — it changes where it is in your head every day.
- Anxiety — you can’t change the situation you’re in and it terrifies you to the point of having an anxiety attack. Or a varaition on this theme.
- Mood swings — they can be drastic and sudden. Going from happy to pissed for no reason at all.
- Difficulty concentrating — spelling or typing is now a nightmare. And that awesome memory recall you had for that movie with that guy and that other guy? It’s been slowed down for you.
Definitely agree on everything
