Aaaahhhhh…..Jan Bday’s!

Since December is the most fab month EVER, I thought I would give a nod to the fab bdays in Jan too…haha. Talk about an active month of bdays!! My g’ma’s always comes first followed the sista…who likes to do week long bdays! Of course this was a big one turning the 3-0! So we spent a few days in Lake Havasu (part 1)…with a few friends and Cheri’s fab phone that I have way too much fun with!













Of course I can’t forget that PIC’s bday is the same wonderful day as Cheri’s…we just wish she was west already so we could all celebrate together at Dland (part 2)!! Hint Hint….








After Cheri’s bday week came Fab’s bday….which included Disney again :). I so never say no to that!! Definitely some good times for sure!! Gotta say, watching Fab’s face on the Tower of Terror for the first time was priceless!!




Ahhhh…..Winter Wonderland

So, did I know it would be seriously a winter wonderland when I arrived in Cinci? Um, negatory ghost rider! I mean I figured I would fly into a snowy land in Chitown, but fresh powder in Cinci…amazing! And that was just the start of the good times out of Cinci. From the amazing Peters family (Really? Seriously?) to the Westerkamm Fam to the great clinics to ACE to Men in Tights…nuff said!

So some might say I am CRAZY for doing yet another venture…others (like my self) would say it is an opportunity of a life time…M2 Volleyball Clinics & Camps start THIS WEEKEND in Cincinnati, Ohio! Oh yea. Basically, this year should be renamed to the wacky world of Team MistyChristi….hehe. Some might get this…others well…hehe. Anyways, picking up the shirts today made it ALL sink in! In less then 48 one of the greatest volleyball of all time will be giving the world an inside to her world. She will be helping/coaching young and adult minds in the WORLD of volleyball. We can’t WAIT to get started!! Now, if only they would open O’Hare….haha






Rose Bowl 2010

So as many times as I have gone to the Rose Bowl, it has never been for football AND not for a BOWL game nonetheless. And ironically, my GOAL for 2010 is to start living my life as an ADVENTURE…so this was a PERFECT start to my Adventure driven 2010! Hahaha. Anyways, my friend Mary had some extra tickets when her family got sick right before the game, so Mary took Katie & me. TOO MUCH FUN…from driving on the actual parade route by accident (we so wanted to wave to the people) to the traffic from the blockades to CHEAP TRICK PLAYING AT THE RB TAILGATE (and singing ALL my fave songs….I am so a 70’s/80’s rock chick) to meeting all the great people at the game…SO MUCH FUN!!

So, most people know that this past year (2009) has been pretty gnarly emotionally for me and my family. And I have been pretty vocal about this…but one thing I have not been vocal enough about is the good (how small it might be) that came out of this year. From the 14 Mizuno and Tina Stevens to meeting Luhrs & Nichols to longtime friends making me smile (Kris, Fab, Hooka, Meeks, Lawbreakers) to a longtime friend giving me a chance to help create something & to my family…there has been some good things that have come out of this year…

And as I enter my 33rd year with new opportunities (M2, expanding D4K, expanding Mizuno) I am looking onward to the future…whatever will come….

North Carolina never ceases to amaze me. Both years have been so different, yet so amazing. This year, I really think I should have blogged daily…with all the activities I did!! Hahaha…from wine tasting to 2 vball matches to Wii craziness to HS friends/vb coaching friends/family to market parties…wow. It was definitely a ton of stuff to pack into 4 1/2 days! Thanks to everyone too…I so will be back soon!!

So maybe everything is not “technically” new, but it is new to me!! With my SECOND new used car, to the opening of the MAC (home to Mizuno Long Beach), to the 2010 tryouts for club…and the approach of my “new” year (not to be explained online, but just know that this past Oct-Oct has been incredibly rough in all areas of my life) I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life. NO I am not moving or anything radical like that…just trying to move forward. Many many exciting things lie ahead of me…from vball to personal to job…so excited to see what 2010 has in store!!

What a wierd week…

Sunset from Corona Del Mar…so gorgeous…I never get tired of seeing these…

And here is my hopefully not but a potential complete loss car (yep, I totally got hit, which made me hit the guy in front of me and it ended up be a 4 car collision). Besides his apology to me, his comment was “I thought I hit the brake and then I realized I didn’t”. So basically, my new car (barely over a month which I haven’t even taken pictures of until now) could be a total loss (we will find out on Tues). BUT thank goodness his insurance company has taken complete liability…so repairs to my car and the car in front of me should be good…my rental car is completely covered…and my medical bills are going to be covered)…









I am so looking forward to a better week next week…I hope…did I mention I am driving a PRIUS…ahahahaha…makes me laugh 😉
