A New Year…

So with the start of a new year comes the goals (which I already stated in my last post)…and then a few days later you read your goals and see if you are still sticking to them. I am happy to report I am!! Hahaha…I am running farther, pushing myself emotionally (even though it has been rough), and living. Now if I only I can keep it up through the year!! Anyways…here are a few pics from the last few days…

Who Needs Resolutions…I Need Goals!

So it is that lovely time again…GOALS FOR 2009!! I hate resolutions since they are always broken. Right? Anyways…I am writing this so that in 6 months and next NYE I can see how I did! Crazy…

1. Be more open with people about how I feel (so I don’t let people both walk all over me or not know how I feel…despite the consequences)

2. Stay in shape and maybe even drop a few more pounds? I am truly happy with how last year’s plans shaped for me and I am completely happy with myself…but why not try right?

3. Take more risks…I am a VERY safe person in all areas of my life and in the last 3 months of 08 I took alot of risks that did not always work out, but had fun.

4. See more places for the first time. Last year I ventured to Beijing, Cancun, part of NC, Orlando, & Philly for the first time (leaving no major city in America unseen…woohoo…that was a goal I set in the 90’s). This year I would LOVE to see Ixtapa and maybe a few other places that have been put in my path.

5. Be happy with me in ALL areas of my life…period.

6. Go dancing more (Tres trios rides again soon!!)

7. And keep growing in the business world…I have learned so much in 08 and know there is WAY more for me to learn in 09…

*and a brief side note…we are in the 09 year…that is my numero!! Hopefully that number will bring me luck!! Hahaha…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Fave moments of 08

So besides the pic moments, here are a couple things I won’t forget…

Probably the most amazing moment of my life (thus far): PEPPERING ON THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

Other things that 08 was amazing for…

Concerts: Spice Girls and RUSH. VERY different, but both we classic. And for everyone who is a RUSH fan…go see them next time they are on tour…AMAZING.

Flying: I got to simulate flying for my belated bday…Ifly rocked!

My Golden Girls: I was blessed to have had to opportunity to coach the 08 12 Gold team this past year. They showed me the passion of loving a sport so much and also how to have fun…

My Family: With my mom and stepdad’s 25th wedding anniversary and Rosa’s 50th bday…tons of family was involved this year 🙂

My Friends: To both my old and new friends…thank you.

A Goldie Night

This past weekend I was lucky enough to see some of my goldie’s from last year (and their fabulous madres)! Last season was a very special season for me, with them. Their passion and excitement for the game really sparked my own passion for the game. Between them and my assistant (a former player of mine)…yea…I missed them basically.

So we had dinner at Claim Jumper and then walked around Naples to see the lights AFTER the Xmas crowds. Good decision on our parts!! Here are a few photos…

To all my goldies….GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!! And Cyone, I need a new rap for my blog!! HINT HINT!!

A Philly (as in Phillips) Christmas

Christmas is always interesting for me and my sis, Cheri. And after seeing the movie Four Christmases, I realized that one, we have 3 families we need to see (on our own) and two, our families are amazing, considering everything (go see the movie and you will understand).

ANYWAYS…first up is the Mohr Family tradition…XMAS eve at the grandparent’s house. This year, between my grandfather’s cancer and David (and fam) in Guam, we did our best to keep up all the normal traditions.

Next up…Rossetta’s (my stepmom’s) for XMAS day. Can we say SAUCE TIME!! Rosa’s italian feast is a present in itself!! Hahaha…

And lastly…congrats to my dad and his girlfriend, Kristen, who got engaged over the Xmas break in New Mexico. 🙂

My Belated Birthday Gift

So, this past Sunday, my sis Cheri arranged for a group of the family to take me to a surprise location for my bday. Well, it turned out to be the Broadway Smash, Wicked (or so I thought)! When we got to the historic Pantages theater, we were greeted by a line of people. Little did I know that we did not have tickets yet and that we were going to put our name into a “lottery” for $25 tickets. Did I mention that there were 7 of us and the only single tickets left on sale were the $202 & $250 tickets! Hahaha…so yea…we put our names into the lottery and waited. No one from our group was called so we ended up heading over to the Universal City Walk for dinner!

We ended up eating at Camachos (since Mexican is my fave food). Nothing like a typical family dinner that involves craziness right? Hahaha…then we ventured over to the I-Fly area. I-Fly is a simulated Sky Diving machine. And since they were offering half off their rates, Cheri, Silke, and me decided that we were going to do it! Oh yea…my first step to potentially sky diving (and for those who know me well, this is a HUGE first step since I hate flying).

The flying ended up being awesome! You really had to work on relaxing, arching your back, bending/straightening your legs, and keeping your head up. Hahaha. I was not the best at this (Cheri rocked and Silke was pretty impressive too), but at least I tried!! Thank you to everyone who came and paid for the event!! It was a night I won’t forgot 🙂
