LBC ya

So last week’s AVP stop in Long Beach was actually pretty decent. One, staying at home rocked and two, IT IS MY HOME TOWN!! The site where we were located ROCKED too! Every view was amazing and the weather was amazing! What more could you ask for? Oh…the vball rocked too!! Here are some pics from the weekend….

Here are two shots off of Ken Delgado’s site…hehehe

My friend Julie. who came into town with her friend Brittany, ended up staying with me through this past Wed. So, I ended taking her to BNB, South Coast Plaza, and to a bonfire with my sister’s youth group! Hehehe!

Time for a change!

So when I need a quick change in my life, the first thing I do is change my hair. So…I hacked my hair :)! And to be honest, I see myself and think I am back in college playing (since my hair was this short back in the playing days). Of course, this cut is more styled AND I died my hair last night to a dark chocolate brown. Anyways…this being one of the 3 weekends off this summer, I decided to make the best of it! First I headed out to my cousin’s 15th bday party at my uncle’s in Fontana. They rented that cool & huge water slide for the kids (but if anyone wants to rent one for a party…let me know…so cool). It was great to see a lot of my family (ie…grandparents, etc).

Then it was off to my friend Jen’s bday bash in LA. We started at the grand re-opening of Sebastians in Toluca Lake. It was free drinks and appetizers all night. I brought my friend, Melody, with me to meet my LA friends :)….

Finally, on Sunday I met up with Melody and some of her friends for brunch at Schooner or Later. So we started at Schooner or Later, but ended up at Joe’s…it was only a 2 hour wait for S or L….haha….good times!!

My first weekend off!! YEA!

So, this was my first weekend off in over 2 months!! Talk about a nice change of pace for me! HAHA! So, the weekend started off in Chino Hills, with my older sis and her kids. Whenever I get a chance I head over there for some kid action! And if you look at some of these pics, you would think I was their mom (and there is absolutely no blood relation to them…kinda classic if you ask me).

From their, I went with Lora to her church for a Junior High overnighter. Lora had asked if I wanted to help chaperone at night and the next day, at the beach. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to spend time with my big sis! And the experience was awesome! These kids were great!

The next morning we went by Lora’s house to get Jojo, Ceviche, and I-man, and headed down to Newport Beach. Surprisingly this was my first time “going to the beach” at Newport! Scary right? I just never ventured down to Newport for the beach action! But again, it was an awesome experience!

I left the beach to go get ready for the Dig For Kids Silent Action/Dinner at Sangria in Hermosa Beach that night. Cheri decided to go with me to the event. It was a nice ending to an amazing day!

And of course, I got to spend time with my cutie babies!! 🙂

Now, as I look towards the upcoming weekend I realize that I get to look forward to Sat! Of course I am off to Reno, NV on Sunday so my weekend is short lived…but at least I get Sat right?!!!

From the Beach to the Asphalt

So…most people who talk to me know my lovely situation right now…so we wont talk about that…but at least I got a “home” weekend a week ago with the Huntington Beach AVP stop. Here is a photo of me and Paige from the fabulous Ken Delgado in Huntington Beach.

Despite being completely worn out, I tried to muster up some strength and go out on Sat night…I made it out for 30 minutes (nice huh)…At least I got two pics out of it! Hahahaha!

Then it was off to AZ for the Glendale stop. Luckily enough my mom and stepdad stayed the week in Scottsdale (so I came in early for some poolside action.

And, I was able to see one my closest friends growing up, Gina. And I got to meet her new hubby Chris! YEA!

So this weekend is Hermosa Beach…um…yea…not fun…but what can you do right?!

From Hollywood to "Italy" this past weekend

So, most people who know me know that it takes a lot these days to get me to go out on a Thursday night. Let alone to a party in West Hollywood. But I decided to be BRAVE (hahaha) and venture out. We ended up going to a party that my friend helped organize for a “cover” girl at Les Deux. The trio (Silke, Cheri, and me) hit the town again! And, for the most part, it rocked! There were a ton of B list actors there, with the occasional A- actor (Jonathan Silverman) wrapped into this outdoor/indoor club. But ya know, as long as I am with those two chicas…I am cool! :)!

Friday was a blur (which, for the most part I did not feel well) to me. Saturday rolled along and it was all about the Italian meal my step mom was preparing for Cheri’s belated Grad & b’day party. Woohoo! Yummy meatballs & gnocchi’s (one of my all time fave meals). Cheri’s HS friends, along with some other friends and our mommacita, joined in the festivities…and of course my sisters, Lori & Kara were there :)! Good food and good company!

And a couple side notes….my car hit 100,000 miles yesterday on the 405 North at El Camino….CRAZY! AND Kristen, my high school best friend, sent me a pic from our HS prom. Or should I say STRAIGHT CLASSIC (my new fave saying)!

It’s coming!

So one week until I start a new decade of my life….LITERALLY! And as I approach this oh so (not) wonderful time in my life, I have had MANY emotions. From the “OH MY GOD I AM REALLY TURNING THIRTY” to the wow, cool mood…my mind just keeps spinning about the possiblities of the future and what my past could have been. What is great is that my last week as a 20-year old will be mainly spent in Omaha, Nebraska, with a lot of my friends. Should be interesting!

On to my next subject….my nieces and nephew! So much fun with them yesterday! Gotta love MAC’s! Here are some adorable and CRAZY pics from the fun yesterday….
