A Day of Pampering

So, everyone needs a day of relaxation every once in a while right? RIGHT! So, Me and MMT decided to head out to Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona (my first visit was on my 30th bday). This time I decided to get a stress reliever massage (WHICH I TOTALLY NEEDED AT THAT MOMENT AND DESERVED). AMAZING. It was a great day of pools, mud, relaxation, pampering, and bonding. Hopefully the pics from the ESPN camera will find their way to me soon…but until then…this will have to do!!

Deep in the Heart of Texas!

So the 2nd stop was in Dallas, Texas this past weekend. WOOHOO! And, for the record, the event was much better than Miami. BUT I still am going crazy :)…the best part of Texas was seeing a ton of friends I never get to see…like Ady, Misty, Kimberly, Chris, Nicole, Schmity, Ham, Pulliza, Ben, Thorn, and others. WE MISSED YOU YASSY! And the tour welcomed back Burdine (who went with me on an amazing ride at Six Flags….thanks Misty), which was awesome! Here are some pics from the event…

South Beach, The Keys, and the first event in Miami….GRRRRR

So after Atlanta I headed down to South Florida to hang with on of my fave people…Yasmin aka Yassy! It was a great couple of days of vegging, working, and watching! From watching shows at the Theater of the Sea in the Keys to my “office space” in Key Largo to watching the Marlins with Misty, Yassy, and Butch and finally the Miami AVP stop…it definitely was a week/weekend of different emotions!

Here are some pics from the week & weekend!

Hotlanta….err Coldlanta!

Hahaha…so when you think of the Dirty Dirty South…Hotlanta always come to mind…but what happens when the temp is below zero…IN APRIL!!! Good times is what happens!

So i took Ty Loomis, Anthony Medel, & Angela Lewis to do an AVP promotion at the Big South National Qualifier. Talk about a great crew! Plus, tons of friends recruited and coaches at this tournament…so we had a ton of fun!! Here are some classic pics from that weekend!

Media, Volleyball, and Rest…

So, this was the last weekend of rest for me…heading into the 2007 AVP season. Can we say mixed emotions!! I am pumped to be traveling again, with my friends…BUT…wow…can we say fatigue and frustration central?! Anyways, this past weekend started off with the AVP Media Day/Hilton Launch Party at the Beverly Hilton on Thurs night. It was beach glam meets Hollywood. Good times! I got to meet some pretty cool people, along with hanging with some amazing people…hehe! Here are some photos from that night (with more coming soon)….

This weekend was the SCVA National Quali for 15’s, 17’s, & 18’s…so basically I had friends, who are both college coaches and club coaches, come into town. Good times! I love hanging with my “boys”! Haha! And Lutes too :)! And then I was also able to head to the beach and enjoy my day there! Haha! Concept right? I met some of my former players (and was going to play, but ended up just running) and just vegged! NIce right! After the beach, I headed to the ASC to support my former players…good times! I am so proud of y’all! Anyways….the 2007 season is about to start…so here we go!!!

An Evening at the Key Club (LA)

So, Jen, my new co-worker at the AVP invited me (and some staff) to her boyfriend’s concert at the Key Club. Paperback Hero was opening for Metal Skool, a fabulous 80’s hair cover band! Haha! And Jen hooked me and my sis up VIP style the entire night! It started with some mingling in the back in the band bus (with PBH & others). From Ben Carey (currently touring in Lifehouse, but got his start in Savage Garden) to Danny Bonaduce (whose voice just rang through the air when he came in the bus)…it was an experience.

Then we went in and saw PBH perform. AMAZING! Brian, Jen’s man and the lead singer of PBH, rocked the place. It was packed and totally alive. Ben was the guest guitarist for the evening and Toryn (look for him to be talked about soon) joined the group for the song “Call Out”. AMAZING, btw.

Then Metal Skool came out…hahaha…STRAIGHT CLASSIC! They looked like literally came from 1988. It was AWESOME! And then they started calling out the names of the celebs in the audience (that we didn’t know were there). And, to be honest, I am SO not a HEAVY METAL person, BUT I definitely know these groups! The bassist from Alice in Chains, the lead singer of Pantera, the lead singer of Disturbed, the lead singer and bassist from System of the Down, Coolio….hahaha, and a few more were named. Then the bassist from AinC and the lead singer of Disturbed came up and sang “Man in the Box” with the group…CHILLS! So much fun….AND ON A MONDAY NIGHT!

Here are the photos from the night….

A Twist on St. Patty’s Day

Ok, so St. Patrick’s day is usually themed with green ANYTHING and the “luck of the irish” in the air. One, green is a must for me…two, the luck of the irish was definitely NOT with me during the day on St. Patty’s day. From forgetting my purse (with my license, cc, etc) at my house and realizing that once I was in Manhattan Beach to taking over 30 minutes to find parking in MB to my brand new shoe breaking at the first stop…wow. Yes, I was not feeling the evening. But things changed once the group (& double decker bus) came to the first bar. Joy McKenzie-Fuerbringer decided that for her and her friend’s bday they wanted to do a Margarita Train through the South Bay. Well, tons of friends, fun, and double decker bus…who wouldn’t!! It was an amazing event! And not only that…as much as I love corned beef & cabbage, it was cool to have mexican feasts at the four cantinas we stopped at! Here are some classic photos below….but read below since this was only half the evenings fesitvities!!

Then, once the bus let us off at the Hermosa Beach pier, we ventured over to Mermaid. Cheri and Silke joined us there…which, by the way, was lifesaver for me(since I was completely exhausted after the busride)! We left Mermaid and headed to Shellback in Manhattan Beach. When we walked in, it was DEJA VU for me…CRAP the season is really upon us! CRAZY! But even though I wanted to run (and almost did), I need to thank DK, Cherbear, & Silk the shocker! Hahaha! Good times were definitely had that night…and here are some pics from the night!

"MVP Like Steve Nash"

So this weekend I was lucky enough to get a 4-day weekend so I could head to the “infamous” Vegas Invitiational. On top of that, the NBA All-Star Game was in Vegas at the same time…can we say CHAOS!
It was awesome to see some people I rarely get to see (Chap’s & Hooka…2 of my 5 fave girlfriends in the world), except at these national tourneys (my boys know who they are). But I will say, there were some VERY important people missing from the crazyiness (and you guys know who you are)! And on a side note about going out, I really didn’t get to see too many stars, except my friend’s friend who is in “Men in Trees” and I should have hung with my friend Gavin, and Mario Lopez on Sat night…BUT NO. I made a bad decision…hahaha.

I must say, it was cool to see Steve Nash at the NBA All Star buffet at the Palms on Sunday morning (thanks Kashi). All I keep singing is the line “…MVP Like Steve Nash” in the song “Promiscious Girl” by Nelly Furtado. I have never claimed to be sane, btw. I really couldn’t tell you what other players were there, but I know there were a bunch of current NBA players in the house. Hahaha.

Now it is on to more trips, bigger people, and seeing everyone at various locations! YEA!!! Oh, and I will not forget a camera this next time!!
