Summer Palace in Pics part 3

So yes, I do have this many pics that I took myself of the Summer Palace. Crazy right? This place was absolutely amazing! And I forgot to mention in my previous blogs that amongst the thousands of people that were in there when we visited, I ran into a few of Rosie’s Raiders AND my old AVP co-worker who now works for Speedo, Laisee. Crazy! Anyways, here are some more photos….

And here are a few more pics of the Summer Palace taken by Sandra Beckman

Summer Palace in Pics part 2

When I originally sat down to put this blog up, I realized HOW MANY PICS I TOOK BY MYSELF (not counting anybody else’s fabulous pics from here). Crazy! This park was one of the most amazing spots I have been in my entire life! Seriously, every way you looked you had a gorgeous view of something or that AWWW factor.

Ok, so here are some photos from our venture to the Tower of Buddhist Incense….

So besides the Great Wall, this has to be my fave spot in Beijing. And because of this, I have broken this blog up into 2 parts (I have a TON of photos). Anyways, this palace was created for the emperor to “get away to the country” from the Forbidden City (which is located in the heart of Beijing…and ironically, the Summer Palace is now located in Northwest Beijing). The Summer Palace is a BEAUTIFUL park now that has plenty of places to explore or relax. All I could think about when I was there was the fact that at one time this was only occupied by a few people at a time (where thousands visit daily during the busy season). AMAZING!
